Types of Assignments
There are two types of assignments: ESSAYS and WORKSHEETS.
ESSAYS are full-length writing assignments of at least 250 words, written in complete sentences and structured paragraphs. Essays span all categories from expository to creative.
- Students can type their essays directly into the portal or upload them from a .doc file.
- Essays have at least 2 rounds of revisions.
WORKSHEETS are downloadable files that guide students through targeted writing exercises, such as brainstorming, fill-in-the-blank prompts, sentence building, and more.
- Worksheets are provided as a .doc file for easy completion and submission.
- After completing a worksheet, the student will submit it and receive feedback from the coach. This means that worksheets only have 1 round of revision.
- Note that worksheets do not count towards total words written in My Insights.
